We can provide kitesurfing lessons tailored to your specific needs, we operate to IKO school standards in Poole Harbour, Dorset, independently from the Poole kitesurfing shops.

Hi there, My name is Mark, head coach at South Coast Kitesurfing Ltd. I’m an experienced IKO level 2 kitesurfing coach, I’ve been training kite surfers from all backgrounds on and off the water for the past seven years.

South Coast Kitesurfing was formed in 2001, our aim was so to be the first and only dedicated kitesurfing school in Poole Harbour.

South Coast Kitesurfing offers a huge amount of fun all year round. 7 days a week 12 months a year, we cater for everybody that would like to experience kitesurfing.

To try kitesurfing no previous experience of board sports or water sports is required, whatever your level we will take you through a comprehensively laid out course which complies with the IKO standards.

If you already have your own kit we can evaluate your abilities and safely help you progress to the next level. Or if you are an experienced rider who wishes to make your first big jumps we have a program for you.

Ozone Instinct Light II

Ozone Instinct Light II Low aspect ratio 5-line flat kite with One-Pump and 3 struts >> Ultra light in weight, affordable, the Light II is the ideal kite for anyone new to kiting constructed using exactly the same materials as our other models so its not Light in strength or durability.

Aerodynamic Leading edge scuff pads = Light therefore keeping weight off the leading edge which is very important for better performing kites

We also provide introductory taster sessions, kitesurf clinics for experienced riders, team building exercises, corporate events, red letter days, gift vouchers and stag and hen parties can be arranged for that exhilarating pre marital experience with opportunities for great photos! (organised parties will be run separately under strict safety guidance).

Ozone Instinct Sport II

Medium aspect ratio 5-line flat kite with and rock solid stability. One-Pump and 5 struts >> The Free ride wake style choice with performance. This deal is the same as the above but includes the slightly more performing Ozone Sport II for intermediate and advanced riders

Relaunch

The Instinct 08 Models are a dream to re-launch, just turn the bar fully to one side and the kite rolls over onto its tip. The rider can either re-launch immediately with the kite downwind and de-powered or allow the kite to work its way to the edge of the wind window, either way the all three models (Light II, Sport II, Edge II) provide a stress free re-launch.

Inflation

All of the 2008 Instincts feature the patented One Pump inflation system, regarded as the most durable and reliable single point inflation system on the market. We won’t bother trying to disrespect the original creators by calling it some over hyped name – we would instead just like to thank Slingshot for bringing the finest (simplest system to the industry).

For the 08 models we have the neoprene socks secured both ends to make it far easier to use whilst improving the protection of the kites sail when rolled up. (2007 were only secured one end)
A large dump valve releases air pressure quickly allowing you to pack down as fast as you set up.

Wingtip

Continuous smooth radius wingtip perfected in shape to increase turning speed and aid re-launch yet perfected in size to ensure the kite is balanced to stop any stall possibilities.
